B.A. in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies

Program Information

The Institute for Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in Women’s Studies (renamed as Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies effective fall semester 2014).  The undergraduate courses fall into four strands: Sexualities, Race, Globalization, and Social Change. WGSS majors focuses their studies on a particular strand and are required to take at least three courses from that strand. The remaining required courses may be taken from other strands or from general WGSS course offerings.

Suggested Schedule of Courses

This is a suggested four-year schedule of courses based on degree requirements in the current catalog.

This guide is not a substitute for academic advisement – contact your assigned academic advisor if you have any questions about scheduling or about your degree requirements.  Also see the Undergraduate Catalog for a complete list of requirements and electives to choose from.

Students may choose to attend a summer term to reduce their load during fall or spring semesters but still stay on track to graduate in four years.

If considering this major, WGSS 2010 will allow you to explore this option before making a decision.
