This course is designed for students who have successfully completed two semesters of Chinese classes at Georgia State University and plan to further develop their Chinese language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) and cultural competence. This course is not open to native speakers of Chinese. Starting with an emphasis on sentence level proficiency, this course will gradually help students develop discourse level competence. The course will develop the studentâs pragmatic competence and independent learning ability.
